About this race
Le Grand Trail des Cadourques is a trail running series held in late March in Cahors, France’s Lot region. Its main event is the GTC, an ultra covering approximately 120 km with 4,100 m of elevation gain, presenting a significant long-distance mountain challenge. The event also offers shorter races: around 65 to 68 km, 30 km, and 15 km, plus a 12 km walk for beginners.
The routes traverse the landscape near Cahors, featuring wooded hills, limestone cliffs, river valleys, plateaus, medieval villages, and historic sites. The finish at Pont Valentré, by the fortified medieval bridge and a key Cahors landmark, provides a distinct local marker. The variety of distances attracts ultra runners seeking a full weekend challenge, trail runners opting for mid-range distances, and walkers or novices using the 12 km route for an accessible introduction to the event.
