Le Puy urban trail 2027

The Le Puy urban trail guides runners and walkers through Le Puy-en-Velay’s old streets, monuments, and nearby landmarks, diverging from typical road-race courses. Held on a Sunday in April and established in 2019 by the FitRunSports association, it features trail races, hikes, and children’s races, accommodating both novice and seasoned participants. The routes incorporate the city as a key element of the challenge. Participants will pass the Corneille rock and the Notre Dame de France statue, ascend the cathedral’s wide steps, traverse the historic center, and head towards the fortress of Polignac. Designed as an urban trail instead of a conventional city run, its appeal lies in the inclusion of stairs, heritage sites, and varied surfaces.
