Le relais des vignes begins at Espace Ligéria in Montlouis-sur-Loire, near Tours, with teams starting at 9:30 AM. This is a small relay race for teams of two or three runners, offering 12 km and 18 km distances based on team size and how the distance is divided. The course follows roads, paths, and vineyard sections, constructed from 6 km loops and a concluding 5 km loop. For the trio race, the first runner starts solo, the second joins after the first loop, and the third joins for the final 5 km, ensuring all three finish together. In the duo race, the second runner joins for the final 5 km. Organizers also assist solo runners in finding partners, aligning with the race's practical team-oriented structure.
