About this race

Le Trail de la Mûre’s Grande Course is a July mountain-trail relay from La Mure to the nautical base at Treffort. Teams of three split 64 km and 3,150 m of climbing, making it a long day on rough ground rather than a short local jog. The race is divided into three segments: 14 km from La Mure to La Mine Image, 22 km from La Mine Image to Les Signaraux, and 28 km from Les Signaraux down to Treffort. Seven aid stations are available on the route, and team entry fees range from 105 to 159 euros. The first runner starts in La Mure and heads onto the Sénépi slopes, passing La Pierre Plantée before reaching La Mine Image, an underground mine museum. The second leg climbs toward La Pierre Percée, one of the seven wonders of the Dauphiné, then passes through Monteynard, its belvedere, and the Grand Balcon of the historic Little Train of La Mure, offering views over the lake and EDF dam. The route then rises toward the Sénépi alpine pasture via Les Signaraux ski resort, where the final runner takes over. At the Sénépi summit, known as the Everest of the TPM, runners join the Maratrail route and are met at the alpine pasture chalet by a shepherd, his family, and his team. The last section descends toward Mayres-Savel, crosses the two Himalayan suspension bridges over the Drac and Ébron rivers, follows the Côte Rouge slopes, and finishes by the water at Treffort.
