The Waldi Trail is a trail-running event held in Neufgrange, Moselle, near the French-German border. The main event is a 24 km trail with approximately 450 m of elevation gain and a 20k UTMB index. A shorter 11 km race offers about 250 m of climbing. The event also features an 11 km walk and children’s races, catering to more than just regular trail runners.
The longer course crosses paths within the local massif, including natural and forested sections near the Rhine side of Moselle Est. The Association Sportive Sarreguemines Arrondissements (ASSA) organizes the event. An enterprise challenge with awards is available for teams, and the finish area provides refreshments, food, and on-site roast ham. With only a few editions held so far, the race maintains a club-run, family-friendly atmosphere, distinct from a large urban race.
