Les 6 Heures de la Tonnelle challenges runners on a 3 km loop for six hours in Marcillé, Saint Gérard, Deux-Sèvres. This trail race allows solo participants and relay teams of three or six to share the course. The event begins in the afternoon and continues into the evening, creating an atmosphere that is as much a community gathering as a test of endurance.
The loop incorporates the Tonnelle site, featuring elevation changes and sections of natural terrain. The difficulty lies in maintaining pace over a short, varied circuit. Entry numbers are limited; one year, the race sold out in three days and attracted a record 411 participants. La Pampa organizes this event to support Vaincre les Maladies Lysosomales, and the evening program includes a concert and food trucks. In the solo competition, Baptiste Gallas successfully defended his title by completing 57 km, benefiting from two early frontrunners withdrawing due to cramps and injuries.
