About this race
Les Bacchantes Jotranciennes is a moustache-themed charity run and walk in Jouarre, Seine-et-Marne, held during Novembre Bleu to support prostate cancer research. It offers 5 km and 7 km options, with starts and finishes at Place Saint-Paul, opposite the Crypt. Both distances begin in the morning. Runners and walkers are encouraged to wear real, fake, or drawn-on moustaches for a non-serious race tied to a serious cause.
The event is organized by the Town Hall of Jouarre with Association Saint Colomban en Brie, and it benefits the Fonds de Dotation des Bacchantes. Registration has included the event T-shirt for participants over six, with pickup available around race weekend, including at the local market and on race morning. The pre-race warm-up has been led by La Clave Caliente, adding to the community feel before everyone heads out from the same central square.
