Les Boucles Roses is a non-timed trail, hiking, and walking event held at Fort de Bregille in Besançon, eastern France. It supports Octobre Rose, the French Pink October breast-cancer awareness campaign, operating as a charity event rather than a competition focused on finishing times. The format is intentionally flexible: participants can select 2 km, 6 km, 10 km, or 15 km distances, while walkers and hikers can enjoy the Fort de Bregille setting without the pressure of a clock.
The courses consist of single loops within a natural setting above Besançon, with elevation gain increasing significantly with distance. The 6 km Boucles de la Découverte involves approximately 150 m of climbing, the 10 km Boucles du Plaisir about 350 m, and the 15 km Boucles du Défi adds roughly 600 m of elevation gain, making the longest option a substantial uphill challenge. The 2 km Boucles Initiation offers a shorter option for beginners and casual participants. As of the early 2020s, the event was in its third edition, indicating it is a relatively new, local initiative with a strong connection to its charitable cause.
