About this race

Les Collines du Diable is a trail race held in late February in Cahors, located in the Lot department of Occitanie. It features two distances: a 12 km course with approximately 540 m of elevation gain, and a 25 km course with about 1,040-1,050 m of climbing. Even the shorter distance requires strong hill-running ability. The 25 km race begins in the morning, with the 12 km race starting shortly thereafter. The course consists mainly of narrow trails, with organizers stating that roughly 90% is single track winding through the hills surrounding Cahors. Participants will pass old vineyards, dry-stone walls, viewpoints overlooking the city's loop, the Valentré Bridge, Croix Magne, and cazelles, which are local stone huts. The event typically attracts a few hundred participants. One notable edition saw 442 finishers across both distances, comprising local trail runners and individuals seeking a concise yet challenging winter race.
