About this race
Les Entrailles du Baugeois translates to “The Entrails of Baugeois,” and the race embraces this gut-check concept with the tagline “Ça prend les tripes.” This trail running event takes place in Baugé-en-Anjou, located in Maine-et-Loire within France’s Pays de la Loire region. Its next edition is scheduled for the end of April. Participants can select from 7 km, 13.5 km, or 27 km courses, accommodating both those seeking a brief trail excursion and individuals aiming for a more substantial local race.
Each distance features a single-loop course. The 7 km race, La Course du Roi René, involves 50 m of elevation gain; the 13.5 km La Baugeoise has 150 m; and the 27 km La Chandelaise includes 200 m. The event is situated in the Baugeois area, positioned between Angers and Tours. The naming of the races strongly connects them to the local area, distinguishing them from generic trail distances.
