Les Foulées du Roc Saint André is an annual running and walking event in Saint-André, featuring an 11.7 km senior race, youth races, and non-competitive hikes. The event attracts over 800 walkers on 9 km and 13 km routes, and around 320 runners participate in the races, including about 60 young runners. Roc Loisirs organizes the event with a large volunteer crew, fostering a community atmosphere where people gather to move, help, race, or support participants.
The senior race consists of three hilly loops with a flatter towpath section that can influence the outcome. In the most recent reported edition, David Laroche secured a solo victory after breaking away on the towpath. Yoann Flohic, Sébastien Lubert, and local runner Yoann Caradec competed for the remaining podium spots. The event also supports humanitarian causes, such as Lyme disease research, a Rennes hospital service for ankylosing spondylitis, and assistance for Ethan, a 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who completed the main race with a support team.
