About this race
Les Foulées de Saint-Julien is a village running event in Saint-Julien-l’Ars, Vienne department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Held in November, it features two adult races, 8.5 km and 17 km, and children’s races of 0.9 km (ages 6-12) and 1.7 km (ages 11-15). The start is at the town’s multi-purpose hall, with a setup for both regular runners and those seeking a local race day.
The route crosses the countryside surrounding Saint-Julien-l’Ars, a medieval village with an abbey and landscapes referenced in event materials in connection with François Rabelais. Aid stations are available, but runners must bring their own eco-cup as none are supplied. Each participant receives a registration gift, the top three men and women in adult races get prizes, bib numbers are entered into a tombola draw, and volunteers offer homemade soup at the finish.
