About this race
Les Foulées du Diablotin is an April trail-running and hiking event held in Marcy-l'Étoile, a town west of Lyon. The event begins and ends under the Halle on Place Fleury Lancelin, and it is organized by the firefighters of Marcy-l'Étoile and Charbonnières-les-Bains. The format offers options: runners can select the 14 km trail, while walkers can choose the same 14 km route or a shorter 7 km family hike.
The main route, La Flamboyante, involves approximately 400 metres of elevation gain, combining agricultural roads with forest singletrack and paths, distinguishing it from a simple flat village run. The shorter hike, La Flammèche, covers about 7 km with roughly 230 metres of climbing and goes near the stables. A refreshment station is located around the halfway point, and all participants receive a hot meal upon finishing. The inaugural event attracted 285 participants, supported by about forty firefighters and volunteers, with proceeds benefiting the local firefighters.
