Les Foulées du Lions is a charity road race held annually in Niort, within the Deux-Sèvres department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It takes place on the first Sunday of April. Participants have the option of running a 10 km or a 21 km race, either individually or as a team. Additionally, a 2 x 5 km relay is available for pairs. The 21 km race begins earlier in the morning, with the 10 km and relay starting soon after.
The race is organized by the Lions Club Niort Venise Verte and benefits causes related to disability, emphasizing inclusion for individuals with disabilities. The course winds through Niort’s city streets and also crosses areas featuring lakes and ponds. It is designed to welcome a diverse range of participants, including individuals, corporate teams, associations, local government groups, sports clubs, seasoned athletes, and those new to relay running.
