About this race
Les Foulées du Riant begins at the Château de Kerdurand in Riantec, a town in Morbihan on France’s south Brittany coast. It is a trail-running event offering two main distances: a 9 to 10 km race and a longer 18 km race. The 18 km race starts first in the morning, with the shorter one following shortly after. Registration is online, bibs are collected at the château on race morning, and chip timing is used for the rankings.
The race is closely linked to the Petite Mer de Gâvres, with both routes spending most of their distance off-road. The 18 km course follows the coastal path and uses approximately 80% nature and shoreline trails, while the shorter course is also mostly natural trail and has been updated to incorporate more of the coast. The event is organized by the Coureurs de la Petite Mer du Pays de Port-Louis and is part of the Challenge Bro An Oriant Run Aventure. Refreshment points are available on course, and the format appeals to local runners seeking a coastal trail race instead of a road 10K.
