About this race
Les Foulées du Val d'Amour is a mid-August trail event in Mont-sous-Vaudrey, a village in the Jura department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France. Organized by Anim'Mont, it offers two nature races, 10 km and 17 km, plus a 10 km walk for people who want the same countryside at a gentler pace. The event is small and local: recent fields have been around a few hundred runners across the two races, with timed results for registered runners and an untimed “OFF” option when entries had to be capped.
The routes are hilly and mostly off-road, running through woods and forest paths with very little pavement. It opens the local trail season, so it draws regular trail runners, club runners, walkers, and people trying this kind of challenge for the first time. The name plays on the Val d'Amour area and the race slogan, “Tu vas Aimer cette Foulée !”, which roughly means “You’re going to love this stride.”
