About
Les Foulées du Vidourle begins in front of the castle courtyard on boulevard Gabriel Péri in Marsillargues, a village in Hérault near the Vidourle river. La Grande Motte Triathlon organizes this summer evening running event, featuring children’s races followed by a 5 km and a 10 km for older runners and adults. The format is compact and local, with four races covering distances from 1.4 km to 10 km, and approximately 600 runners are anticipated.
The routes incorporate the streets of Marsillargues, adjacent forest paths, and stretches along the Vidourle, transitioning between village roads, shaded areas, and riverside running. The 5 km is open to the minime category and above, while younger children have separate starts for the shorter races. A unique addition is the challenge run with the independent parents’ association of Marsillargues: the first man and woman to reach the 1 km mark in the 5 km and 10 km races can win a 50 euro prize, provided they also finish within the top five of their gender overall.
