About this race
Les Foulées Irlandaises is a new road-running event in Nueil-les-Aubiers, Deux-Sèvres, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, scheduled near St Patrick’s Day. FC Nueillaubiers is organizing it, starting near the Halle, offering a 5 km race, a 10 km race, and an 8 km walk, suitable for both runners and walkers, not exclusively competitive racers.
The routes follow the town’s roads, passing through its streets with moderate elevation changes: approximately 55 meters for the 5 km and 100 meters for the 10 km. This race took the place of the local beer festival and filled a need, as Nueil-les-Aubiers previously lacked a road race. One euro from each registration supports Association Les étoiles dans la Mer. The event also features a joëlette start associated with the charity, bib collection prior to the races, and an awards ceremony afterward. In the inaugural 10 km, Naël Boutet of Entente Sèvre finished about forty seconds ahead of Pierre Proust.
