Les Foulées Nature - Roncq begins on rue Maurice Thorez in Roncq, a town in northern France near the Belgian border. It is a Sunday-morning road running event offering three distances: a 5 km run, a 10 km race, and a 21 km half marathon. The 10 km and half marathon hold a regional designation and allow runners to qualify for the French Championship, while the 5 km provides a shorter option for younger and newer participants. The longer races commence at 9:00, with the 5 km starting at 9:25.
Jogging Aventure Roncquoise manages the event. Participants include club runners, local runners, company teams in the Corporate Challenge, and schoolchildren from CE2 to CM2 in a free schools race. Entry requirements adhere to French athletics regulations, necessitating an FFA license or PPS, along with parental authorization for minors. The event also offers practical amenities for families and runners, such as complimentary childcare, luggage storage, changing rooms, and showers. One euro from each registration is contributed via the partnership with Comp'Lys.
