Les Métropolitaines is a January road-running series held in Saint-Grégoire, Brittany, located approximately 15 minutes from Rennes. The series' most competitive event is the Blot 10km, an international-label race recognized in World Athletics rankings. It covers two laps, one slightly under five kilometers and the other slightly over. The event lineup also features La Grégorienne Grand-Quartier, a 7.5km race exclusively for women, and the 5km VIVALTO SPORT, a non-timed option suitable for families.
The series describes itself as a Breton race for women and solidarity. However, its scope extends beyond the single women-only race. The 10km event is open to both licensed and non-licensed runners, regardless of gender. La Grégorienne is designed for women running with friends, colleagues, mothers, or daughters. The 5km race has the most direct charitable connection, with all registration fees donated to charity. The event has attracted over 5,000 participants, begins with a group warm-up, and depends on community support along the course, alongside volunteers, partners, and well-wishers at the finish.
