About this race
Les Monts d'Usiers is a trail-running series centered in Goux-les-Usiers and Val d'Usiers in the Doubs region. It offers races for participants seeking distances from a gentle introduction to trail running to more challenging hill runs. The schedule features 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km races, alongside children's events, a walking option, and a color run. The 5 km discovery trail is the most accessible option; it is open to all, without timing or rankings, and includes approximately 100 metres of elevation gain, allowing newcomers to participate in the Monts d'Usiers event without the pressure of a competitive race.
The 5 km race begins near the town hall in Val d'Usiers/Goux, with the start and finish line situated on the street across from the church. Bib collection takes place at the salle polyvalente in Goux-les-Usiers on rue des ecoles. Organizers provide a brief orientation before the discovery run. A medical certificate or race license is not required for this distance. Poles are prohibited, and participants are advised to bring water. The overall event is managed by local organizations, including TOD 800, Les Foulees Gourmandes du Val d'Usiers, AS Mont d'Usiers, Ping Val d'Usiers, and the Bians-les-Usiers festival committee. Registration for all races is capped at 500 participants. The weekend's village activities include food, beverages, showers near the finish and dining area, and a free outdoor concert on Saturday evening.
