Les Rondes de la Clairette begins in Vercheny, a wine village in the Drôme valley, with the roads of Clairette country just outside town. This April cycling event offers road cyclosportive routes of approximately 60, 92/93, and 150 km, along with a 33 km gravel option. The Petite Ronde, the shortest road ride, features a significant climb: 60 km with 760 m of elevation gain.
The routes traverse the Drôme and Roanne valleys on mid-mountain roads, passing vineyards, slopes, and the River Drôme near the start. Riders collect their packets at Domaine Monge et Granon, aligning with the local wine theme instead of a large expo. The finish maintains this local character, including a barbecue and Clairette wine tasting post-ride.
