About this race
Les Semelles de Vent is a 10 km road race held in Charleville-Mézières, a city within France’s Grand Est region. The race takes place in late April on city streets, not on trails or country paths. The 10 km is the primary distance and the most popular, indicating the event is structured around a simple format suitable for consistent runners and those aiming for a standard road-race distance.
The race is situated in the Ardennes and attracted over 300 runners in its last running. Its name translates to “the soles of wind,” and the event incorporates this with the slogan “Le vent te portera!” Results from previous editions are available, lending the event the character of a local race with a continuous history rather than an isolated community event.
