About this race
Les Sentiers d'Allonne is a nature-trail event in Les Moitiers-d'Allonne, offering 7 km, 15 km, and 30 km trail options alongside walking events. Held in October, the trails use placement ranking instead of electronic timing, ordering runners by finishing order. Trail entries are managed online before race day, while walkers can register on site. Fees are modest, children walk for free, and one euro from each participant supports the Coeur et Cancer association.
The courses are off-road nature routes, with separate walks at a relaxed pace. Participants can include runners, walkers, families, and minors. Young participants require a health questionnaire instead of a medical certificate, with parental authorization available if needed. The prize list has a local character: the first male and female finishers each receive a lobster, and another lobster is given via random draw among all participants. Dogs are prohibited on the routes, with the exception of guide dogs for visually impaired participants. Etienne Lebas hosts the event.
