About this race
At the Marathon relais du Val Lamartinien in La Roche-Vineuse, six runners divide the full marathon distance, running 42 km as a team. The relay begins at 1:00 PM from the Salle des Fêtes. The format involves seven laps of 6 km, with each teammate completing one lap before all join for the final lap.
The course includes 120 meters of elevation gain, making it undulating rather than flat, yet it remains compact and easily navigable for teams from the start-finish area. The final lap introduces a key element: the entire team must cross the finish line together. Officials verify the team's completeness, and the final time is recorded from the last runner. The event accommodates participants from cadets to masters, offering food stalls, music, a prize draw, children’s activities, showers, and a team area near the village hall.
