About this race
La Nordique de Six-Fours is a Nordic walking race connected to Six-Fours-les-Plages on France's Mediterranean coast. Organized by L’Athlétisme Six-Fours, it is run as a Nature Nordic Walking Competition with a regional FFA label. The primary competitive distance is approximately 13 to 15 km, varying by edition, with a shorter option of about 6.8 km also available. Leisure walkers may use the same course format, selecting one loop or two rather than entering the competitive race.
The route consists of repeated forest loops. Earlier information indicated two loops of 7.3 km, while later details listed a 13.2 km course with a regional label. The walking takes place entirely on forest paths and trails. Recent editions utilize the Janas forest massif in La Seyne-sur-Mer as the event site. The longer course contributes to regional Nordic walking challenges, including the Ligue PACA challenge, and the event has also hosted the Var championship. It attracts both competitors seeking challenge points and walkers who prefer a marked forest course without racing at full speed.
