Marinières en Rose 2026

Marinières en Rose is a pink-themed sports weekend in Villefranche-sur-Mer on the Côte d’Azur, held as part of Octobre Rose, France’s breast cancer awareness month. The program includes open-water swimming, aquathlons, relays, children’s races, 1 km and 3 km bay crossings, and a 5 km walk. Team Lafage Organisation runs the event, and all donations go to Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital Centre to support women affected by cancer. The setting is the Marinières beach area and the bay of Villefranche, with sections close to the water and sand underfoot. The day includes women, men, and children, making it feel like a community fundraiser with sport at the center. Newer editions have added the Traversée de la Rade, which fits the place well: the bay is part of the event itself.
