Moontrail by rcbj - Maubec 2026

Moontrail by RCBJ is a night trail race held in Maubec, Isère, France, organized by Running Club Bourgoin-Jallieu. Participants begin in the late afternoon and evening, transitioning into darkness as they run, unlike a typical daytime trail event. The race distances range from 7 km with 160 m elevation gain to a 31 km course with 1,150 m gain, including intermediate options of 11 km, 14 km, and 19.5 km. The shorter races are suitable for those new to night trail running, particularly the 11 km La Découverte route featuring 300 m of climbing. The 19.5 km Tour du Plateau crosses the local plateau and ascends 540 m. L'Express, the 31 km event, is designed for experienced trail runners and concludes with a 75 cl beer. A past edition saw 283 participants, indicating a community feel with a mix of abilities rather than a large-scale festival.
