The Morvan XC Race takes place at Base nature Morvan Oxygène on rue de Cortona in Château-Chinon, within the Morvan region of Burgundy. The afternoon begins with a GPS hike. Afterward, younger participants, aged 11 to 14, compete for approximately 30 to 35 minutes on a 2 km circuit. The primary XC race commences later, welcoming riders from 15 to 77 years old, featuring a 7 km course designed for a duration of about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The event maintains a straightforward structure: brief youth races precede a longer cross-country mountain bike race for teenagers and adults. Classifications are divided between a "serious" category for contemporary bikes and a distinct vintage-bike classification, ensuring older bicycles are integrated into the day's events. UFOLEP license holders benefit from reduced or complimentary entry in certain categories, while younger riders enjoy minimal or no fees. The club provides refreshments post-race.
