Mulhouse

Mulhouse sits in the Alsatian plain near the Vosges foothills, where cycling dominates the local scene—the Tour Gravel Vosgien starts nearby in Ensisheim and draws gravel riders into the rolling Vosges interior, while La Vosges Express crosses the region on longer routes through vineyard country. The city itself is flat and urban, best used as a base for day rides east into the Vosges or north along canal towpaths; runners have fewer signature events but can access the flat Ill river valley and parkland circuits.
