Starting from Place des Marronniers in Saint-Astier, the Nocturne de Puyferrat offers a challenging night course designed for those seeking a demanding run. The event features 10 km and 18 km night races, alongside a 9 km walk. Children's races commence first, followed by staggered adult wave starts from 6 PM.
The course winds past the Chapelle des Bois and offers views of the Château de Puyferrat, distinguishing it from a simple town loop under lights. Approximately 900 participants attended, with runners traveling from across Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 10 km race saw over 400 starters, and the 18 km had more than 260. Walkers and children formed another significant group, and a para-athletics team completed the 18 km using a joëlette, a specialized chair for crossing trails with physical disabilities.
