The Nocturne du Béout is a night trail race held in Omex, a small village in the Hautes-Pyrénées near Lourdes. It takes place in mid-February on the slopes above the village, with routes utilizing mountain paths and narrow single track around the Batsurguère valley and the Béout massif. The event offers short night trail options of approximately 12 km and a longer 24 km route named the Duo des balcons, featuring about 1000 meters of elevation gain.
The shorter Sprint Trail involves repeated climbs, descents, and quick changes in pace, making it suitable for runners who prefer a fast, hilly effort over a long mountain run. This format also appeals to less experienced trail runners because of the compact, varied circuit close to the village. A previous edition saw over 300 participants, and the finish has a local club atmosphere: members of Endurance 65 serve homemade garbure post-race.
