La Pélicaennaise - Louvigny is a solidarity race held near Caen each September by health students from Caen. It uses a flexible entry fee to raise money for local association projects, with a suggested minimum primarily to cover the race's basic costs.
The course follows Caen’s voie verte along the Orne river, between the Hippodrome and Louvigny, starting at the Louvigny village hall car park. Runners complete four 4 km loops for a 16 km total, either individually or as a team of two, three, or four. Recent editions have focused on reducing waste, using reusable cups and serving water from large containers instead of individual plastic bottles.
