Raid ESSEC EY is a student-organized pairs race in Cergy-Pontoise, with EY as the title partner. The main event combines trail running, mountain biking, run-and-bike sections, and orienteering, requiring teams to navigate and stay together. It features two distances: the 75 km Raidoutable and the 38 km Raid Vigorant. A separate night race, with 10 km and 15 km options, precedes the main raid.
The night route passes the Cergy ponds and the village of Ham, adding a local character to the weekend before the main team event. Participants are those who enjoy mixed-discipline outdoor racing, including runners, mountain bikers, students, club athletes, and teams seeking a shared challenge. The Night Race has been included since 2015. Organizers highlight the Raid’s values of mutual aid, self-improvement, inclusivity, and environmental respect, reflecting a race where partners must support each other across multiple disciplines.
