Raid Polytech Nantes is an annual multisport raid organized by Polytech Nantes students in the Pays de la Loire region. The race takes place around Vioreau lake and nearby communes, offering formats suited to various skill levels instead of a single standard distance. Participants can select shorter or longer challenges, ranging from a family route of approximately 17 km for four people to an adventurer route of about 40 km, a challenger route of about 52 km for pairs, and a separate 15 km trail race.
The event combines several outdoor disciplines, typically including mountain biking, trail running, canoeing, orienteering, run and bike, archery or laser shooting, and sometimes climbing. Beginners, families, club athletes, and experienced raid racers can all find a suitable format, attracting a diverse field of participants. Ecology and solidarity are among the organizers’ stated focuses, positioning the race as a student-led outdoor challenge with community values, not solely a timed endurance test.
