About this race

Rando Gravel Elements is a small gravel cycling event based in Tour-de-Faure, a village in the Lot department, 2 km from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and approximately 35 km from Cahors. It takes place in late March and is organized by Sports et Nature de Tour de Faure, a local volunteer association that also hosts outdoor events like Trail and Bike de l'Igue. The event maintains a modest scale, with entries limited to 99 participants per edition. Recent events have seen just over a hundred riders, choosing from three route options of roughly 60, 80, and 100 km. The routes traverse white tracks, grassy paths, and quiet secondary roads within the Parc des Causses du Quercy and its UNESCO Geopark. The longest route includes about 2,000 m of elevation gain, presenting a challenging ride on gravel. Participants begin near the Lot river, ascend early, encounter a rough grassy stretch, pass through green tracks towards Lespinasse, and later descend rapidly towards Larnagol. The broader route area extends across 19 communes situated between the Lot and Cele valleys, with locations like Espagnac-Sainte-Eulalie and Grealou contributing local historical context to the event.
