Les 3 Cols is a mountain bike and gravel ride based in Sennecey-le-Grand, Saône-et-Loire, with a shared start and finish for all routes. It offers four VTT routes with minimal road sections, plus a 50 km gravel option that rolls easier and climbs less than the mountain bike courses. Riders can use VTT bikes, gravel bikes, or e-bikes; the event accommodates a wide range of ages, not just experienced racers.
The routes traverse the hilly Tournugeois area, where local riders will recognize names like Col de Navois, Col des Chèvres, and Col de Brancion. The VTT courses feature ample singletrack and mixed paths, with aid stations positioned along each route. The gravel course bypasses technical descents, goes through small Val de Grosne hamlets and villages, includes a wooded section, and uses quiet lanes for part of the ride, with paved sections making up 28% of the distance. Gravel riders navigate via GPX, as the route is marked with a file sent after registration or downloadable by QR code at the start; this route has one aid station at kilometre 21 and can also be ridden on a mountain bike.
