Reims

Reims is a flat city on the Vesle river in the Champagne region where road cyclists dominate—the Les Estivales De L'asa loop near Tinqueux and Randonnée Du Chemin Des Dames brevet showcase the gently rolling chalk plains around the city. Runners have the flat riverbank paths and occasional parkrun-style local events, but cycling is the real draw here, with dozens of brevets and organised routes threading through the wine country villages to the south and east. The city itself sits at 80m elevation; most rides stay pancake-flat or climb no more than 100m over long distances.
