RiozTrail is a late-April trail running event held at the CCSL in Rioz, a commune in Haute-Saône, eastern France. The program is designed for local trail runners, walkers, and families, not exclusively long-distance specialists. It features short youth races, an 8 km walking route, and several trail distances with elevation gain, ranging from an 8 km option with 200 m of ascent to longer 14 km, 20 km, and 26 km races.
The course offerings define the event: Trail des loupiots for the youngest runners, Trail des kid'z and Trail des z'ados for older children and teens, Randonnée copacabana for walkers, and Trail copacabana as the short adult trail. The longer races present a more challenging profile, with 400 m of ascent on the 14 km route, 660 m on the 20 km route, and 750 m on the 26 km route. RiozTrail is organized by the Rioz Trail Team and is approaching its ninth edition; the association also supports local charities, including a contribution to Ethan.
