About this race
The Rotary Tour du Bouchon is a road race held in Troyes, located in the Aube department of France’s Grand Est region. All races commence from Place Alexandre Israël, situated in front of the town hall. The event takes place in early autumn and is organized by Rotary Troyes Val de Seine, with assistance from the local FFA off-stadium running committee and the city sports service. The schedule includes an 800 m children's run (ages 6-11) and a 3 km run (ages 12+), both free of charge. A 7 km race, for ages 16+, is also offered with official rankings and a modest entry fee.
The 7 km race is the primary competitive event, completing one circuit of the city. The 3 km run is intended for a more leisurely, unranked participation. Youngest participants are also unranked, and each child receives a diploma. Recent years have seen over 1,500 participants of all ages, establishing it as a significant local event rather than an exclusive club gathering. The Rotary club also dedicates the event to supporting local associations and causes, having previously aided Les Restos du Cœur and handisport initiatives, including providing equipment for individuals with reduced mobility.
