Run and Bike de Béthune is a February team race held in Béthune, Pas-de-Calais. Two participants share a single mountain bike, alternating between running and riding the course. The race begins at Place du Beffroi and welcomes any two-person team, including mixed pairs. Two distances are offered: the 13 km Confirmé and the 6.5 km Découverte. The concept is straightforward: one teammate runs while the other cycles, switching roles at any point.
The course challenges teams to balance timing with physical conditioning. Decisions on when to switch roles, the duration of each leg, and managing fatigue without disrupting momentum are key. The bike cannot touch the ground during transitions, helmets must remain fastened throughout, and both teammates must cross the finish line together at Place Lamartine. A dedicated bike park is available for bib holders, with Sport Chronométrage managing the timing. The event had 360 participants in its most recent edition, reflecting its nature as a local competition focused on coordination, effort, and joint strategy.
