Run Lagnes is a spring trail-running event held in the village of Lagnes, located in the Vaucluse region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. The races take place in the Monts de Vaucluse, situated between the Luberon and the hills north of the village, with nature and forest paths forming the core of the event. It features three adult trail distances: FunLagnes at approximately 9 km with 400 m of elevation gain, RockLagnes at approximately 16 km with 850 m, and SkyLagnes at approximately 24 km with 1,350 m. This configuration means even the shortest adult option is a substantial trail run, while the longest route presents a challenging mountain-style effort rather than a casual jog.
The courses were designed by international trail runner Andy Symonds, and the event emphasizes technical terrain, limestone ridges, and views across the Monts de Vaucluse. All races commence and conclude in Lagnes, establishing the village as the central hub for participants and their families. The event caters to a broader audience than just experienced trail runners, offering KidsLagnes races ranging from approximately 1 km to 5 km for children and juniors. Run Lagnes also focuses on environmental responsibility, providing organic homemade food at aid stations, homemade cookies, and fostering a family atmosphere within the race village.
