Salomon EcoTrail Paris is an urban trail race circling Paris, designed for runners seeking a mix of dirt paths, parks, and city landmarks within a single day. Established in 2007 by trail running enthusiasts, it now features nine events. These include seven trail running distances ranging from 10 km to 120 km, alongside 10 km and 20 km Nordic walks. The 80 km race, the event's original distance, concludes uniquely on the first level of the Eiffel Tower.
The race utilizes the Île-de-France region, avoiding a confined city circuit. The 45 km course begins in the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, includes approximately 800 meters of climbing, and is intended for experienced participants. The 120 km ultra is the most demanding event, while shorter trails and walks ensure the weekend appeals to a broader audience. Recent events have attracted approximately 18,500 participants, assisted by about 500 volunteers, with organizers prioritizing eco-consciousness and daily environmental practices.
