The Névache - Val des Prés - Briançon Semi-Marathon is a June road race held in the Hautes-Alpes department. It begins in Névache village and concludes in Briançon. The primary event is a half marathon, approximately 21 km long. A 10 km race is also available for those preferring a shorter distance within the same event.
This race has taken place annually since 1975, established by the 159th Alpine Infantry Regiment stationed in Briançon. The course connects Névache to Briançon via the Clarée Valley, leading participants into Briançon's historic old town and down the Gargouille. It is predominantly a downhill route, featuring around 60 m of ascent and 345 m of descent, making it accessible to many runners, not exclusively mountain experts. Annually, close to 1,000 participants compete, and the event is recognized locally as the most significant race in the Hautes-Alpes.
