About this race
The Sine Qua Non Run in Toulouse, Occitanie, is a city run founded on the principle that women should have the freedom to exercise in public spaces, at any time, and in attire of their choosing. The Toulouse event features urban routes of 6 km and 10 km. Local sessions may also combine a shorter 5 to 6 km run with muscle-strengthening exercises. These events are open to women and men of all fitness levels, with community sessions offering a flexible format.
The course remains within Toulouse, avoiding the countryside, emphasizing the shared experience of occupying the city over distance or speed. The larger Sine Qua Non Run in Paris draws over 10,000 participants, and the Toulouse edition supports the same cause against sexist and sexual violence. Its ambassadors and participants utilize running as a public statement to challenge the notion that fear should restrict access to public spaces.
