About this race
The Tour Pédestre de Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert claims to be the second-oldest road race in France. Its primary event is a 10 km run held in the Loire town of Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert. Founded by Pierre Jacquemond in 1937, the race typically takes place in October and holds a regional FFA label for the 10 km distance.
The event includes more than just the main 10 km race. Past events have featured youth races for the French EA, Po, Be, and Mi age categories, along with a four-person relay. A recent edition saw 611 participants overall: 330 in the 10 km, 213 children and teens in the youth races, and 17 relay teams. The leading runners complete the course quickly for a local race, with winning times recorded under 30 minutes for men and under 35 minutes for women. It has also been included in the Forez Sud challenge, connecting it to the broader running schedule south of the Forez region.
