The Tour des Commères in Sirod, located in France's Jura department, is an October trail-running event featuring three off-road races: the 23 km Trail des Chamois, the approximately 12 km Tour des Commères, and the 7 km Tour de la Percée. The day also offers youth races and hikes near the Pertes de l’Ain, catering to serious trail runners, local families, and walkers seeking the event's atmosphere without the competition.
The main event, the Trail des Chamois, ascends around 1,000 metres through the upper Ain valley. It includes forest sections, passes near the Pertes de l’Ain, and a route the organizers connect to the story of the “true Alésia.” The shorter race follows paths and trails, goes by the old gabelle toll gate at Château Villain, and has the race as easy yet technical. Local volunteers and sponsors support the event, providing aid stations and changing rooms.
