About this race
Trail Bien Chaussée is a trail running event in La Chapelle-Chaussée, a village approximately 25 km from Rennes, situated between Gévezé and Bécherel. The sports hall serves as the event's center, hosting all starts and finishes. Participants can select from a 21 km course with 250 m of elevation gain, a 15 km course with 150 m of elevation gain, or a 7 km nature-path route with 50 m of elevation gain. The 7 km race is open to participants aged 16 and older, while the two longer races are for adults.
The courses primarily traverse paths and wooded areas, meaning the terrain can become muddy and wet after periods of poor weather. The 15 km race features a water point around the 7 km mark, the 21 km race has one around 11 km, and all finishers receive a comprehensive refreshment stop. Participants are requested to bring their own cup or bottle. The event, organized by La Chapelle Bien Chaussée, continues the tradition of the Foulées de la Chapelle-Chaussée into its fortieth edition. A portion of the entry fees is donated to charity, and the local atmosphere is maintained with galettes-saucisses and a drinks stand available after the race.
