The Trail Blanc des Brasses begins at 5:30 PM on the cross-country ski trails of Plaine-Joux, with participants starting on snow as evening descends into night. This winter trail event takes place in Bogève, Haute-Savoie, on the Plaine-Joux plateau within the Brasses massif. The race features a 10 km solo race over two loops, a 5 km solo race over one loop, and a 10 km relay for teams of two, where each runner completes one 5 km loop. A 5 km walk is also offered.
The course utilizes the snowy pistes of the Plaine-Joux Nordic ski area, employing short loops instead of a lengthy point-to-point route. This structure simplifies navigation and provides a straightforward format for relay teams: one loop each, followed by a handover. The mountain surroundings offer views towards Mont Blanc. Now in its eighth edition, the race maintains a small, local character rather than being a large-scale event.
