About this race
The Trail Cloysien des 3 Rivières begins and ends at the Château de Montigny-le-Gannelon in Eure-et-Loir, close to Cloyes-sur-le-Loir. This early March trail race offers two primary choices: a 21 km route with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain and a 10 km Discovery Trail with about 120 meters of climbing. The shorter option suits novice trail runners and those seeking a quick pace over a brief distance, whereas the longer route provides seasoned trail runners with a more challenging, hilly course across diverse natural terrain.
The 21 km path winds through the grounds of the Montigny-le-Gannelon and Romainville châteaux, integrating local heritage directly into the race route. The Château de Montigny-le-Gannelon, a historic structure, lends a distinct sense of place to the start and finish compared to a typical athletic field. Athlétique Club de Cloyes manages the event, providing aid stations and changing facilities. On-site activities transform the race into a community sports gathering.
